Baillie Hill is Perth’s newest hospitality precinct, opening in late 2025 in East Victoria Park. With restaurants, bars, gardens, and community spaces all under one roof - plus a petting zoo - Baillie Hill is designed to be a vibrant, inner-city hub like no other.
We’re seeking a hands-on and proactive Maintenance Manager to lead precinct-wide maintenance operations. From venues and gardens to stables and animal care, this role offers genuine variety - no two days will ever be the same.
Start date: early-mid November 2025.

Proven experience in maintenance, facilities, or grounds management (hospitality or outdoor settings highly regarded)
Strong practical and problem-solving skills with a “can-do” approach
Experience leading and mentoring a small team (including yard staff)
Confidence managing gardens, landscaping, and outdoor presentation
Comfortable overseeing a small stable and the wellbeing of precinct animals
Ability to manage contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Tech-savvy with basic computer skills for scheduling, logs, and ordering
Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules across venues
Lead, train, and support yard and maintenance teams
Oversee presentation and upkeep of gardens and outdoor spaces
Ensure safety and care of stables and animals
Coordinate deliveries, including bulk beverage and keg logistics
Conduct regular site inspections and promptly resolve maintenance issues
Liaise with and supervise external contractors and trades
Perform hands-on repairs and maintenance to a high standard
Maintain compliance with Workplace Health & Safety standards
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
Physically fit – able to lift up to 20kg, kneel, squat, and use machinery
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment
Desirable

Working at Heights Certificate
Trade-related skills
Animal handling or stable management experience
