About the role:

Supporting the Compliance Lead in executing the compliance framework, the Compliance Officer for Contract Cleaning conducts compliance assessments of contractors and their associated sites – compiling reports on annual contractor compliance and building relationships through effective contractor management.

The Compliance Officer applies significant expertise in attention to detail, understanding contract management, aligning compliance with agency programs and objectives and contributing to ensuring the consistent implementation of efficient work practices within the workgroup/unit.

This position will ensure all cleaning-related work practices and processes within the Department for Education comply with relevant State and Commonwealth regulations and standards, and Cleaning Services are delivered in an ethical, timely, transaprent and legally compliant manner.

·       Proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement

·       Experience in contract management or a compliance role in a complicated environment

Special conditions:

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.

The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration:

ASO5 $85,790 - $95,413 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading
