Sneddon & Kingston Plastics, industry professionals in plastic injection moulding, requires an Injection Moulding Technician and a Die Setter to work at their facility based in Preston, VIC.
You will undergo a combination of the following responsibilities and tasks, which includes but is not limited to:
Injection mould die setting.
Machine setting, including set up of peripheral equipment.
Starting, optimising and monitoring injection moulding machines, and recording their setup details.
Be involved and run tool trials if required.
To undertake trouble shooting and initiate corrective action to prevent non-conformance.
Carry out other tasks as instructed by the Shift Supervisor or Production Manager.
Maintain die store.
Assist in efficient planning where necessary.
Carry out other tasks as instructed by the Shift Supervisor.
Notify Supervisor of any malfunction or problem experienced in performing standard duties or tasks.
Keeping work area clean & tidy.
Complying with training provided, company policies and procedures.
Maintain cleanliness in line with HACCP Requirements
Ensure compliance to all company O.H.S requirements
The delineation between the Technician and Die Setter roles are as follows:
Die Setter - All activities and troubleshooting related to setting and removing tool and associated equipment, prior to start of production run and after the conclusion of the run.
Technician - Starting the production run, monitoring its progress, troubleshooting all issues and allocating labour until the end of the production run.
The successful applicants will need to demonstrate having worked in a similar environment/role, and any experience in HACCP/ food packaging would be advantageous.
These roles are available for an immediate start. Indicative wage circa $35-40/hr, subject to applicant experience and skill level.
