About the role
Are you an experienced Jumbo Operator looking for a rewarding underground mining opportunity? Join Aurelia Metals and be part of a supportive and skilled team. In this role, you’ll be hands-on with development drilling, ground support, ore driving, cross cutting, and capital development across both incline and decline operations.
Reporting to the Mining Supervisor, you’ll help ensure safe, efficient, and effective drilling and ground support, making a real difference in achieving the Mine Plan and supporting the success of the mine. This role offers the flexibility of Resident, DIDO, or FIFO rosters, giving you a work-life balance that suits you.
Roster: 7/7, 12 hours per day (Day/Night Shift)
Location: Peak Gold Mine, Cobar NSW
Travel Options: Residential, DIDO, FIFO

Key responsibilities
Perform development drilling across both incline and decline operations
Carry out ground support installation to maintain safe working conditions
Conduct ore driving and cross cutting in line with the Mine Plan
Participate in capital development tasks to support mine growth and expansion
Operate jumbo drills safely and efficiently, adhering to company and regulatory standards
Collaborate with the Mining Supervisor and team to ensure smooth, effective underground operations
Qualifications and experience
At least 2 years of experience as a Jumbo Operator
Experience in Development Charge Up operations
Minimum of 7 years relevant underground mining experience
Hold a current driver’s license
Security Clearance (UHL)
NSW Work Safely at Heights Certificate
Demonstrate behaviour consistent with Aurelia Metals values
