 About the opportunity: 

We are now looking for a Die cutting Machine Operator to join our team in Somerton VIC on the Afternoon Shift . Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be an integral member of our Finishing team, responsible for cutting the printed products to size required for our customers.  

Work the Afternoon shift - 4 days a week, Monday to Thursday.

Pay is approx $25 per hour base pay, plus shift loading brings to $30 per hour for afternoon shift

Key Responsibilities include:

• Safe and controlled running of the Die cutting/Rewind machines.

• Efficient set-up of our machines and preparation of the tooling, labels and other raw materials to maximise equipment efficiency.

• Support the team implementing corrective measures and perform minor preventative maintenance to ensure continuous machine operation

• At times clean, pack, palletise and store products and materials

• Interact well and maintain a positive relationship with all production functions.

• You will contribute to all steps in our production process and practices including, Quality, Safety, Good Manufacturing practice (GMP) housekeeping and Environmental control measures.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Ideally, experience working in a print or packaging manufacturing environment as a machine operator - Experience in Print Finishing will take you to the top of our list!

• Be proactive and able to think forward and plan your work i.e., able to be prepared with materials, machine set-up or equipment for up coming jobs

• Be a team player that can communicate effectively across multiple work groups.

• Able to work autonomously and are self-motivated.

• To have high attention to detail and proud of your work standard – quality focus.
