The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter / Technician to join our Afternoon Maintenance Team (3pm–11pm). Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this is a key role in keeping our production equipment operating smoothly, efficiently, and safely to support our commitment to delivering high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
Carrying out breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance on all site equipment
Ensuring machinery is operational to meet production requirements
Conducting inspections and reporting faults promptly
Assisting with new equipment installations and system upgrades
Supporting continuous improvement and modifications to existing systems
Monitoring equipment performance and recommending improvements
Completing quality checks in line with HACCP and GMP standards
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities
Training operators on basic maintenance and safety procedures
Liaising with contractors and suppliers for parts and services
Maintaining a clean, safe and compliant work environment in line with OH&S policies
What We’re Looking For
Trade qualified with a minimum of 5 years maintenance experience in a similar role in food or FMCG industries.
Experience with RML and ULMA machinery highly regarded.
Strong skills in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Experience with CMMS systems (MEX highly regarded) and stainless steel TIG welding (advantageous).
Disconnect - reconnect license (preferred)
Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, safety compliance and understanding of working in high care production environment.
Problem-solving mindset with excellent organisational skills.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
