Maintenance Fitter - Afternoon Shift (3pm-11pm)

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter / Technician to join our Afternoon Maintenance Team (3pm–11pm). Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this is a key role in keeping our production equipment operating smoothly, efficiently, and safely to support our commitment to delivering high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance on all site equipment

• Ensuring machinery is operational to meet production requirements

• Conducting inspections and reporting faults promptly

• Assisting with new equipment installations and system upgrades

• Supporting continuous improvement and modifications to existing systems

• Monitoring equipment performance and recommending improvements

• Completing quality checks in line with HACCP and GMP standards

• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities

• Training operators on basic maintenance and safety procedures

• Liaising with contractors and suppliers for parts and services

• Maintaining a clean, safe and compliant work environment in line with OH&S policies

What We’re Looking For

• Trade qualified with a minimum of 5 years maintenance experience in a similar role in food or FMCG industries.

• Experience with RML and ULMA machinery highly regarded.

• Strong skills in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Experience with CMMS systems (MEX highly regarded) and stainless steel TIG welding (advantageous).

• Disconnect - reconnect license (preferred)

• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, safety compliance and understanding of working in high care production environment.

• Problem-solving mindset with excellent organisational skills.

• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
