NRW Civil & Mining have an exciting opportunity for experienced Cost Controllers to join our team across both FIFO project and Metro operations. Whether you prefer a site-based roster or a metro-based role, you’ll play a key part in supporting our project teams with accurate financial reporting, forecasting and cost management.

To be successful in this position, you will be a highly organised and commercially focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced project environment. You will be confident working with multiple stakeholders, analysing data, and supporting project teams to ensure accuracy, transparency and timely reporting across all cost-related activities.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following as a minimum:

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
• Relevant experience as a Cost Controller or similar position in the Civil and/or Mining sectors
• Good understanding of earthmoving and mining plant
• An understanding of estimating is desirable
• Highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Accurate data entry skills
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

As a Cost Controller, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Prepare the Monthly Contract Valuation report
• Developing and maintaining detailed forecasts to completion, ensuring alignment with project performance
• Prepare monthly progress claim
• Project Cost analysis
• Preparing monthly accruals and ensuring all financial data is captured correctly
• Reviewing and validating subcontractor and supplier invoices for accuracy and compliance
• Build reports using internal reporting tools to assist engineering and commercial teams
• Administer site cost coding function
• Assist contract administrators in preparing quantum of claims:
• Manage all project cost commitments
• Champion continuous Project Control process improvements
