We do more than collect the bin from your street, we also convert waste into clean energy, divert food waste from landfill and convert to compost, manufacture customised waste management equipment, asbestos removal, refine and recycle oil, manage and maintain our fleet inhouse and have our own bespoke technology systems.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

As a JJ’s Workshop Supervisor - HCV Mechanic, you will play an integral leadership role within our workshop team in the Townsville depot. 

You will be conducting and supervising all workshop activities of preventative maintenance and repair of heavy rigid vehicles. You will be actively involved in the tuition, mentoring and assessment of apprentices.

Additionally, the Townsville workshop supports JJs operational fleet in Mount Isa.

  • Have trade qualifications as a Truck Mechanic - Heavy Commercial Vehicles

  • Be a proven people leader  

  • Demonstrate an exceptional eye for detail

  • Ability mentor and coach other mechanics and apprentices

  • Complete pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing

  • HR licence

  • Demonstrate a professional and outcome focus

  • Work well individually and as part of a team 

  • Want to be part of a culture of learning and continuous improvement

  • Be dedicated and reliable; we are an essential services industry
