We are partnering with a leading nation Quarry to find an experienced Fitter / Welder to join their established operations in the Clarence/Lithgow area

What You'll Be DoingAs the Maintenance Fitter / Welder, you are critical to the smooth operation of our fixed & Mobile equipment
- Fixed Plant Maintenance: Your primary focus will be the hands-on mechanical maintenance and repair of heavy fixed plant equipment, including conveyor belts, crushers, screens, hoppers, and bins
- Mobile Plant Maintenance: Hands on preventative maintenance for mobile plant (excavators, sales loaders, etc)
- Preventative & Breakdown Work: Executing scheduled maintenance tasks and responding to occasional urgent breakdowns.
- Day Shift Stability: Working a consistent 5-2 roster, Monday to Friday (Day shift). Shifts may start early (as early as 4:00 AM) in line with the site's enterprise agreement.
- Welding: Applying your welding skills for repairs and fabrication as needed (highly preferred skill).
- A recognised Mechanical Trade Certificate (Fitter, Mechanic, Plant Mechanic, or Boilermaker).
- Drivers licence - Open Manual preferred
- White card.
- Proven, hands-on experience maintaining and fixing heavy fixed plant (quarry, mining, or heavy industrial equipment experience is essential).
- Welding experience is highly preferred.
- Work life balance - Occasional overtime is available for urgent breakdowns or routine maintenance, but it is not excessive or mandatory.
- Hourly rate: 43.57 Plus leading hand allowance when leading contractors
- Working independently - no micro managing.
