Roster: 4-on / 4-off (12-hour shifts: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off)
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter with electrical capability to join a global packaging equipment manufacturer.
Embedded on-site in Brisbane Northside, you’ll work directly on packaging and filling machinery as part of the In-Plant service team. This is a permanent, full-time role with structured shifts and excellent earning potential.
Key Responsibilities
Perform mechanical breakdowns, repairs, and preventative maintenance
Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and electronic systems
Carry out safe electrical disconnect/reconnect work (B-Class license)
Liaise with operators, engineering staff, and quality teams
Maintain service records, manuals, and tools per WHS standards
Provide coverage for leave, major services, and emergency call-outs

About You
Qualified Mechanical Fitter (dual trade highly regarded)
Electrical license: B-Class minimum (full preferred)
3–5 years’ industrial experience in manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, or plastics
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
Physically fit, WHS-compliant, comfortable with 12-hour rotating shifts
Based locally in Brisbane Northside (commute suitability critical)
Confident in trade skills, humble, open to learning
Able to provide 2 professional references (one direct manager)
