About the role

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Management Officer to join our team in Perth. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of ANZAC House. This is a crucial position that plays a key part in ensuring the smooth running of our organisation and the delivery of exceptional services to our members.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinate and oversee all facilities management activities, including cleaning, security, maintenance, and repairs

  • Manage and liaise with external contractors and service providers to ensure timely and effective completion of work

  • Conduct regular inspections of ANZAC House to identify any issues or areas for improvement

  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to proactively address potential problems

  • Manage budgets and procurement for facilities-related expenses

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

  • Provide input and recommendations for facilities-related projects and initiatives

  • Assist with the coordination of events and activities hosted at our properties

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a facilities management or property management role

  • Strong understanding of building operations, maintenance, and compliance requirements

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Proficient in the use of facilities management software and technologies

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in facilities management, property management, or a related field would be highly regarded

  • Tertiary qualification in facilities management, building services, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience

  • Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain within 6 months
