About You – Skills & ExperienceWe are seeking a motivated and safety-focused Auto Electrician or Electrician with strong hands-on experience supporting mobile equipment and site installations across surface mining operations. The ideal candidate will bring the following:
Essential Requirements – Auto Electrical / Electrician ExperienceCurrent NSW Auto Electrical Licence or NSW Electrical Licence
3+ years’ experience working on surface mining operations within Australia
Experience carrying out onsite installations in varied mining environments
Ability to read and interpret:
Mechanical drawings
Electrical schematics
Electronic circuit diagrams
Basic mechanical aptitude for conceptualising mounting hardware, brackets and equipment housings
Demonstrated strong commitment to safety, both in office settings and field environments
Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or
Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
(Preferred but not mandatory – training provided)
Exposure to microwave, wireless or general communication systems
Experience assembling, configuring, testing and staging technology solutions prior to deployment
Ability to configure various third-party devices and hardware
Understanding of RF survey tools, modelling software or similar technical tools
Basic knowledge of IP networking technologies
Experience supporting or installing technology systems in mining or construction environments
Note: Training and upskilling will be provided for all OT systems and advanced communications technologies.
Work Conditions & RosterMust be willing to work on a weekly DIDO roster
Preference for candidates located in Gunnedah or Tamworth
For the right candidate, a 7/7 DIDO roster from Newcastle will be considered
Primary roster is day shift, with occasional night shift (night shift loading applies)
