Certificate III in Carpentry CPC30220What's involved?During the 48-month apprenticeship you get to learn the following:
- Read and interpret plans and specifications
- Carry out general demolition of minor building structures
- Studying building plans and drawings to work out the materials required and how best to install features.
- Preparing, treating, cutting and shaping timber elements to be used for structures or fittings.
- Erecting building framework, roofs and floors, fitting exteriors, doors and window frames.
- Install lining, panelling and moulding, and flooring systems
Highly regarded:
- Certificate 1 in Doorways to Construction
- Employed work experience
- 1 week or more working experience in any trade
- Has taken wood technology classes in school
Requirements: - Provisional licence and own car or at least 2 months away from P's
- Commitment to full time work + study
- Full working and study rights in Australia
