The opportunity
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading the maintenance function across the processing plant to ensure safe, reliable and cost-effective operation of all plant assets. This role oversees maintenance strategy, planning, execution, and continuous improvement to maximise equipment availability, minimise downtime, and support production targets.
What the role entails:
- Lead and develop the maintenance team, ensuring strong safety performance.
- Oversee preventative and predictive maintenance programs to maximise plant reliability.
- Manage daily and weekly maintenance activities across mechanical, electrical and instrumentation areas.
- Plan and execute shutdowns and major maintenance works efficiently.
- Drive reliability improvements through RCA, defect elimination and condition monitoring.
- Manage maintenance budgets, cost control and procurement of critical spares.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory and environmental requirements.
- Optimise CMMS use for planning, work order management and reporting.
- Coordinate contractors and ensure quality, timely execution of work.
What you will need:
- Trade, Engineering or relevant technical qualification (Mechanical/Electrical preferred).
- Extensive experience in maintenance leadership within a processing plant or heavy industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and fixed plant maintenance systems.
- Demonstrated success implementing maintenance strategies and improving plant reliability.
- Experience managing shutdowns, budgets, and contractor performance.
- Proficiency with CMMS systems.
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
