Carpenters to work on the worlds largest radio telescope project in South Murchison, WA.
The Project: The SKA-Low Project is part of the Square Kilometre Array initiative, which aims to build the world’s largest radio telescope in Western Australia. The project will deploy over 130,000 low-frequency antennas to explore the early Universe and detect faint cosmic signals.
The Central Processing Facility (CPF) is a critical infrastructure component of the SKA-Low array, housing essential systems and equipment that support data processing and operational functions.

The Job:The Carpenters will be constructing & installing: Internal lining of floors, walls, and roof, including 24 mm compressed fibre cement (CFC) flooring and 22 mm Structa floor system, Installation of Fyrcheck fire-rated ceiling system, Floor and wall finishing as per specifications
- 2:1 Roster, 6am-6pm, 12hr days with 2 weeks on and 1 week off.
- FIFO Arrangement: Paid flights from either Geraldton or Jandakot
- Accommodation & Meals: onsite accommodation/camp will be provided.
Mandatory Requirements:- Cert/License: Proficiency in carpentry and joinery
- White Card
- Basic knowledge of materials and site procedures
- Medical and D&A will be required
Experience Required:- Proven experience in internal lining installation, including CFC and Structa flooring systems
- Familiarity with fire-rated ceiling systems, specifically Fyrcheck installation
- Experience in installing suspended ceiling systems in commercial or industrial settings
- Proficiency in fitting skirtings with attention to detail and finish quality
