Airswift is partnering with a leading renewable energy consultancy to deliver a significant utility-scale solar farm project near Canberra. We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager / Owner’s Site Representative to act as the client’s primary site-based representative, overseeing all construction activities and ensuring successful project delivery.

• Oversee construction activities across multiple workstreams and contractor interfaces.

• Act as the Owner’s on-site representative, ensuring delivery aligns with contractual obligations and project specifications.

• Lead the site-based team, including civil and electrical supervisors, HSE personnel, stakeholder engagement, and administrative staff.

• Manage daily construction activities, progress reporting, and interface coordination.

• Conduct site inspections, maintain compliance records, and manage defect close-outs.

• Facilitate site meetings and coordinate visits from stakeholders including the Owner, Owner’s Engineer, auditors, landowners, and community representatives.

• Monitor contractor quality documentation and ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures.

• Promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with WHS regulations.

• Maintain daily site logs, progress photos, and contractor reports for internal governance.

• Provide regular updates to the Project Manager, including risk and interface tracking.

• Support commissioning, energisation planning, and final handover documentation.

• Degree or diploma in Engineering (Civil or Electrical), Construction Management, or a related field.

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in utility-scale renewable energy or large infrastructure projects.

• Proven ability to manage complex delivery models and multi-contractor environments.

• Strong knowledge of contract administration, WHS legislation, and technical standards.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Ability to work independently in regional environments and manage competing priorities.
