About the Roles
Apply curriculum knowledge and effective teaching strategies within their faculty learning area to support student learning.
Build positive and respectful relationships with students.
Deliver a balanced, challenging, and relevant teaching program that meets the diverse needs of learners.
Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and the wider school community.
Demonstrate knowledge of a variety of learning methodologies and technologies and apply these in the classroom.
Collaborate with colleagues as an active and positive member of the school community.
Be flexible with hours when required, particularly during key College events.
Support and promote the ethos of Mount Carmel College within the Catholic Josephite tradition.
Specific to DT&E Position
Plan and deliver lessons that cover design and tech concepts, techniques and methodologies.
Demonstrate expertise with a range of materials in wood, metal and computer aided design.
Maintain a safe and compliant environment, managing all risk and safety protocols in the DT&E workshop.
Requirements
The successful candidates will hold:
Current Teacher Registration in South Australia.
Accreditation to teach in Catholic Education South Australia.
Current and acceptable Working with Children Clearance and screening to work in Catholic Education SA.
Current valid Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care certificate
Applicable First Aid Certificate.
Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience relevant to the role.
Australian citizenship or valid work visa with right to work in Australia.
