Best known for their advanced manufacturing technology delivering innovative outcomes for their customers across their precision manufacturing operations, this privately held company has recently expanded their business with the establishment of the plating business.

With a core focus on delivering high quality Electroless Nickel Plating, Zinc Plating, and Cobalt Plating for solutions that require corrosion protection for critical components, wear resistance for heavy machinery parts, or electrical conductivity for sensitive electronics, this hands-on opportunity will have you responsible for daily operation and maintenance of the Electroless Nickel Plating (ENP), Zinc, and Cobalt Zinc plating lines.

Your New Opportunity:

This role includes process monitoring, chemical analysis, surface preparation, quality control and the safe handling of chemicals which will see you playing a key role in ensuring the plating processes deliver consistent, high-quality finishes to meet production and customer requirements.

• You will assume the responsibility for Operating and monitoring ENP, Zinc and Cobalt Zinc plating lines in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform routine chemical testing and analysis to ensure bath chemistry remains within specification.
• Prepare parts for plating including degreasing, masking, and surface activation.
• Monitor and document process parameters, solution levels, temperature and plating times.
• Adjust chemistry, add chemicals, and conduct maintenance additions under guidance of technical specifications.
• Conduct routine inspections of the plating line equipment and report or perform minor maintenance as required.
• Maintain accurate records of chemical additions, test results and plating parameters.
• Manage and store chemicals safely and in compliance with workplace health and safety standards.
• Liaise with required personnel regarding any process deviations or product quality concerns.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of plating processes and quality outcomes.
• Keep work area clean and organised, following 5S and housekeeping protocols while;
• Ensuring the correct coating solution is prepared and maintained.
