We’re seeking experienced Dozer / Grader Operators to join our Mine Production team with CITIC Pacific Mining (CPM).

This is a permanent full-time opportunity on a 2/1 roster (days and nights), FIFO from Perth to our Sino Iron operation, Cape Preston WA.

We would like applications from safety conscious and competent operators with at least 4 years’ experience in surface mining operations.

Ideally you will have experience operating on electric dump trucks or equivalent and the following:

  • CAT D10 / D11T Track Dozers
  • CAT 16 / 24M Motor Graders
  • Letourneau D950 Wheel Dozers
  • L950 Front End Loaders
  • CAT RH170, CAT RH340 Excavators

To be successful, you’ll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role within an open pit mining environment.
  • A current manual drivers licence essential.
  • HR drivers licence and/ or First Aid certificate highly desirable.
  • Extensive understanding of surface mining principles.
  • Ability to work independently with clear communication skills.

What your day would look like:

  • Monitor and manage the health, safety, environment and training management system – Viking (MYOSH) to your delegated authority level accurately
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to monitor compliance ensuring any non-conformances or improvement opportunities identified are reviewed and actions implemented
  • Assisting the Injury Management coordinator with injured workers and the return-to-work coordination

What we'll need from you: 

  • Current Australian Drivers Licence 
  • Minimum Cert IV in Work Health and Safety 
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)
  • ICAM Lead Investigator experience 
  • Certification in Workplace Auditing (desirable) 
  • High level knowledge and experience in Health, Safety, Environment and Training
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of current legislative requirements and the ability to effectively apply these in the workplace.
  • Previous experience in a similar role working in the mining / resource industry

About the role

Reporting to the Supervisor - Operations, you will be responsible for the safe operation of an Underground Shotcreter machine to install fibrecrete as per the ground support standards. Key Responsibilities and benefits of the role include:

Your role

  • Coordinate exploration teams and contractors to deliver planned Yamarna exploration programs.
