The successful candidates will be required to undertake mechanical repairs and refurbishment to earth moving equipment including component rebuilding, as well as complete all required job cards, paperwork and safety requirements.

To be successful, the following is required:

  • Australian Recognised Heavy Duty Mechanical or Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification

  • Proven experience with machinery including excavators, dozers, dump trucks and other heavy equipment

  • Extensive experience with CAT, Komatsu, Liebherr and Hitachi equipment, and a solid understanding of hydraulics, electrical and pneumatic diagnosis

  • A safety-first attitude

  • Current drivers’ licence

  • Ability to work successfully within a team, autonomously and unsupervised

  • Willingness to work away when required at remote locations will be considered favourably.

The Role
As Maintenance Planner at our gold mining operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient performance of plant, equipment, and infrastructure across the site. Working closely with supervisors and stakeholders, you’ll provide the planning discipline that keeps our operations running smoothly and safely.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Develop job plans with clear instructions, labour, materials, tools, and equipment
  • Build and maintain weekly, fortnightly, and shutdown schedules aligned to operations
  • Review backlog and plan corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance
  • Coordinate shutdowns including scope, sequencing, resources, and communication
  • Provide accurate estimates for durations, dates, and resources
  • Deliver weekly schedules via Pronto and MS Project to supervisors
  • Maintain clear communication across maintenance and other departments
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and cost control
  • Monitor activities to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance
  • Support HSE, HR, and legal requirements in line with company policies
  • Identify and report hazards, eliminating unsafe behaviours
  • Comply with financial authorities and company procedures
About You
You’re a trade‑qualified maintenance professional with excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. With clear communication and a collaborative style, you ensure maintenance activities are well‑planned, resourced, and aligned with operational priorities.

You bring to the role:
  • Trade Certificate, preferably Mechanical
  • Demonstrated post‑trade experience in fixed and/or mobile plant
  • High level of proficiency with Pronto is essential
  • Prior experience in supervisory or maintenance leadership roles
  • Exposure to asset management planning
  • High level of confidence in Shutdown planning
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Competent in MS Project, Excel, and Word (desirable)
  • ICAM Lead Investigator accreditation (desirable)
  • Experience in Maintenance Planning across Australian mining operations spanning processing, infrastructure and light vehicle.

About The Role:

As the successful applicant you will report to the Shift Supervisor and development mechanical co-ordinator and will be primarily responsible for providing mechanical support to the Development areas of the Oaky North Underground Mine.

Specific key accountabilities for this role include pro-actively participating, communicating and encouraging safety awareness in the workplace. Assisting in the daily and weekly inspections of underground plant and equipment and ensuring all relevant statutory documentation is maintained and appropriately authorised. You will be responsible for completing preventative and breakdown maintenance duties, displaying high work standards, exhibiting a high regard for safety and communicating effectively within a team environment to achieve results. You will be able to work shift rosters and perform your role in a safe and timely manner.

About You:

With the relevant fitter trade qualifications (mandatory), underground mining experience (mandatory) and 1-2 year in a similar position, experience on Komatsu equipment (highly regarded but not essential).  These credentials are complemented by your genuine commitment to safety and demonstrated ability to operate in an environmentally responsible manner.
