What We're Looking For – Essential Requirements:
✅ Trade Qualified – Minimum Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical or Fabrication)
Solid Industry Experience – At least 2 years of hands-on experience in fixed plant maintenance
Crusher & Screen Expertise – Proven experience working on:
• Metso MP1000 Secondary Crushers
• Gyratory Crushers
• Vibrating Screens
Safety First – White Card, plus current Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets
Gas Testing Competency – Valid certification required
Strong Communicator – Clear and confident communication with a team-oriented mindset
Full Work Rights – Must have unrestricted rights to work in Australia
Highly Regarded – Not Essential, but Great to Have:
High Risk Licences – EWP, Forklift (LF), Dogging (DG), Intermediate Rigger (IR), CN, or Overhead Crane
SAP Experience – Ability to raise notifications and complete time confirmations within SAP
Crushing Equipment Knowledge – Experience with rotable rebuilds of crushing components
Screening Equipment – Familiarity with vibrating screen maintenance and repairs
Laser Alignment Skills – Confident in the use of laser alignment tools and equipment

What You’ll Be Doing
As a key member of our shutdown team, your responsibilities will include:
Performing mechanical rigging activities on fixed plant maintenance and shutdown projects
Lifting, moving, and installing structural steel, piping, and mechanical components
Conducting equipment inspections, tagging, and safety checks
Assisting with dual crane lifts and equipment assembly where required
Interpreting technical drawings and lift plans
Maintaining a clean, compliant, and hazard-free work area
What You Bring
Minimum 2 years’ rigging experience in mining or heavy industry
High Risk Work Licence
Strong mechanical aptitude and shutdown experience
White Card and valid Australian Driver’s Licence
Working at Heights and Confined Space (valid within 2 years)
Ability to pass a mask fit test (clean-shaven policy applies)
Commitment to safety, teamwork, and reliability

We are seeking experienced Haul Truck Operators to join our team at Meandu Mine. If you are passionate about operating big machinery and are looking for an opportunity to join a long-standing team closer to home, then we would love to hear from you!

BUMA Australia provides a total mine service to Stanwell Corporation's Meandu Mine to deliver coal to the adjacent Tarong power station. We are responsible for both managing and operating the mine.
Services provided include planning, drilling, overburden removal, coal mining, coal processing, rehabilitation, and maintenance of mobile and fixed plant. The project uses a combination of dragline and truck-and shovel operations. Meandu Mine currently has five working pits, with sufficient coal to fuel the stations until at least 2037.

We are looking for multiple Diesel Fitters to join us in workshops across the Mount Isa region with industry leading clients. You will gain the opportunity to expand your skills on OEM heavy mining equipment while showing off your notch mechanical skills.
What you want to know:
8/6, 7/7 rosters available.

Up to $80 p/h, depending on experience.
What we are looking for:
OEM experience with CAT and Hitachi
Certificate lll in Mobile Plant Technology (or equivalent)
